As a child, I remembered peering into her mother’s jewellery box and marvelling over the many wonderful coloured gems. I was inquisitive to how they were created and how precious they all were. From a young age I would spend hours colouring and painting and this would later turn into an appreciation for the arts and history.  Little did I know at the time that this passion would turn into my dream job of jewellery appraisal, gemmology and manufacturing. Of which these are never-ending subjects, combining of arts, history, geology and science.

In 2006 I started my journey working for an Independent family run jeweller, where I learnt about fine jewellery and watches.  I delved into design and found gem properties fascinating.  I managed the onsite workshop and acquired knowledge into jewellery manufacture.  As a natural progression,

I attained internationally recognized industry qualifications in valuing and gemmology so that The Jewellery Appraiser can provide the best non biased professional service for its customers.

The Jewellery Appraiser opened  in 2019 after the birth of my daughter Ava and I now proudly offer valuations for the purpose of Insurance Valuations and IHTA (Inheritance Tax Assessment).  I value, modern, antique and Asian jewellery, as well as watches and silverware and flatware.  Behind the scenes I set up a workbench from my home studio and started to learn the techniques and complexities of jewellery manufacture.  ​I offer  a jewellery a refurbishment/repair service,  as well as remodeling existing jewellery or designing and creating new custom pieces.

 

I work within the Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire areas and visit clients privately, giving them peace of mind, that their treasured valuables never have to leave their side.  Alternatively I can look after clients in my own home studio.​
